Marine Strage is a French artist based in Sausalito, California. Born in Brittany, she moved to Paris to study at the Sorbonne. After a career in advertising she went to do a MA in Fine Arts at Central Saint Martins school of Art in London and worked from her Notting Hill studio. She later opened a pop up gallery on Portobello to represent French artists.
Marine Strage now works from her Sausalito studio in the historic ICB building. In addition to private collections in the US and Europe, her work has been seen in many exhibitions in California and was the recipient of the 2019 Crocker Kingsley juried show. She has been selected to be in the 2021 Artists of the Bay Area book published by Jen Tough gallery, as well as in the Art Folio Annual 2021 publication of the world most exciting artists. Her paintings and mixed media work engage the viewer in expressive abstracted landscapes that use color and dynamic brushstroke to create movement and connection with our deep nature, questioning subjects like identity and memories.
